Work out what your paper costs

Set the type, the deadline, the level and the length. The total moves as you change any of them, and it is the same figure the order form charges.

What moves the number

Four controls, and they do not pull evenly. Changing the deadline moves the total far more than changing the paper type, so if the figure is higher than you hoped, start there.

  • Deadline

The single biggest lever you hold. Deadlines run from 3 hours to two months, and the rate falls as you give the writer more time. The form also caps how many pages it will accept at the tightest deadlines, because one person is writing them.

  • Length

Counted in pages, and a page is 275 words double spaced or 550 single spaced. If your brief is given in words, divide by 275 and round up. The line under the stepper does the same arithmetic as you type.

  • Academic level

College, Undergraduate, Master or PhD. The level sets the per page rate, because it sets who is qualified to take the order. A PhD literature review is not an undergraduate essay with harder words in it.

  • Type of paper

Forty-nine of them, from a book report to a dissertation methodology chapter. A statistics project and a reaction paper take different work and are priced differently. Pick the one your department named.

What the quote already covers

  • Title page and reference list
  • Formatting in APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, Turabian, Oxford, Vancouver or CSE
  • An originality check before the paper is released to you
  • Free revisions for 14 days, 30 days on a dissertation, thesis or research proposal
  • Direct messaging with your writer while the work is in progress
  • Support in writing, around the clock

A plagiarism report as a separate document is the one common addition, and it is an optional extra in the order form (clause 8.1 of the Terms).

Three ways to pay less

  1. Order the day you are set the work, not the night before. Time is the cheapest thing you can give the writer, and it is the only input that costs you nothing to hand over.
  2. Order the length you were set. Rounding a nine page brief up to ten pays for a page nobody asked for. Divide the word count by 275 and round up once.
  3. Pick the level you are actually on. The academic level sets the per page rate, so a first year essay ordered at Master level buys expertise the brief never asked for.

Questions about the price

What counts as a page?

275 words double spaced, or 550 words single spaced, which is how most departments count. The calculator asks for pages, so divide a word brief by 275 and round up. A title page and the reference list are not counted in it.

Is the figure the calculator shows what I actually pay?

Yes. The calculator and the order form run off the same engine, so the quote carries into checkout and no fee is added at the end. Taxes and any international transfer charge your own bank applies sit outside it (clause 3.2 of the Terms).

Why does the same paper cost more at PhD level?

Because the academic level decides who can take the order. A PhD brief goes to a writer with the degree and the reading behind it, and that writer costs more per page. The level you pick should be the level you are studying at, not the one that quotes lowest.

Can I see the price in my own currency?

The quote switches between USD, EUR, GBP and AUD under the total. Conversions move with the rate, so the figure you were shown yesterday and the figure today can differ by a little.

Does the quality tier change the price?

Yes, and it is set in the order form rather than here. Standard, Premium and Platinum add a per page surcharge on top of the level rate, and the difference is the pool of writers your order can reach.

What if I need it sooner after I have ordered?

Message support and the deadline can usually be brought forward against the difference in price. It works the other way too: a deadline pushed back does not refund the gap, so pick the date you actually need rather than the earliest one you can imagine.

Do discounts come off this figure?

The first order discount and returning customer discounts are applied in the order form, before payment, so the calculator shows the rate before any of them. Codes have to be applied at submission and cannot be added afterwards.
